A bit about Chris…
He came close to scoring in Wellington in November 2009 when he hit the bar with a long range shot against Bahrain in the second leg of the playoffs. He will long remember the two goals he scored playing against Italy in 2009.
Killen grew up in Wellington and first started playing club football for Miramar Rangers.
As well as football, Killen is passionate about cooking and is a keen part-time chef. Killen was once invited to appear on the BBC series Masterchef. He will have his own dish on the menu at a leading Middlesbrough restaurant which he will demonstrate after he has returned from the World Cup. He would like to test out his speciality dish on his All Whites teammates going to South Africa, and the footballer has said he can see himself running a restaurant of his own when he retires from the sport.
